CHAU3358 Antique 1940 hand signed letter from the University of London Joint Recruiting Board to Dr Elston G Turner historic WW2 doctor whose private collection this forms part (see below), personally autographed by the secretary of the board and discusses physiology and anatomy folded twice where posted and lightly aged otherwise seems mostly great condition (vg/vg+ grading).
This has come from the private collection from the estate of Doctor Elston Grey-Turner CBE MC TD (16 August 1916 – 20 January 1984) who was a British medical doctor who served in World War II and was on the staff of the British Medical Association for many years. He joined the Royal Army Medical Corps and served as regimental medical officer to the 2nd Battalion of the Coldstream Guards 1942–1945. He was awarded the Territorial Decoration, and also the Military Cross.
