CC5 Antique undated but circa mid 1930s German large (approx 4" x 2") cigarette card of Juliette Recamier shown as a magnificent framed portrait and on reverse all about her history (in German language) unused with light imperfections but mostly great condition with vintage character as scan will show.
Jeanne Françoise Julie Adélaïde Récamier, known as Juliette, was a French socialite whose salon drew people from the leading literary and political circles of early 19th-century Paris. As an icon of neoclassicism, Récamier cultivated a public persona as a great beauty, and her fame quickly spread across Europe.
