CC6 Antique undated but circa mid 1930s German large (approx 4" x 2") cigarette card of Jean De Lafontaine shown as a magnificent framed portrait and on reverse all about his history (in German language) unused bar light imperfections in outstanding condition and with vintage character as scan will show.
Jean de La Fontaine was a French fabulist and one of the most widely read French poets of the 17th century. He is known above all for his Fables, which provided a model for subsequent fabulists across Europe and numerous alternative versions in France, as well as in French regional languages.
